Sergei Slovachevsky graduated from the St. Petersburg State Conservatory in 1991 under supervision of Prof. A. Nikitin.
He has had an active, creative life since his early childhood. His son, Vladimir is the fifth generation of string player in the Slovachevsky family. Among Sergei’s many successes it is particularly worth noting Sergei’s achievement of First Prize at the Karl Davidov Pan-Russian Cell Competition in 1988, All-Union Cell Competition in Latvia in 1989, and at the Viotti International Chamber Ensemble Competition in Italy in 1991
As soloist of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, he regularly appears to great success in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Novosibirsk, and other cities of his homeland. His solo concerts have also been garlanded with praise by the concert-going public in countries like Finland, Germany, France, Poland, Japan, Italy, Turkey, and the USA. He has recorded works on CD, TV, and radio.
